The Why & How of Sliding Scale Events
I believe strongly that creativity is for everyone, and that includes financial accessibility.
Over the years I’ve offered sliding scale events, many folks have accessed various rates on the scale, dependant on their finances in the moment. You don’t have to chose one and stick with it forever.
When using the sliding scale, I invite you to take a look at this and this to help you decide what to pay. [Thanks to Ride Free Fearless Money and Alexis J Cunningfolk for the linked graphics.]
An important note: I have found that it is often folks with the least financial access who are most determined to support others. I’m including the following information to encourage you to pay the rate that feels affordable to you: I own a house, and my partner and I both have vehicles. I have savings. Though I appreciate financial support for my work, please know I will be ok.
For people who might want to join me for online events, but find the access rate is not, in fact, accessible, I offer a code to register without fee. I would love to have you as my guest, no questions asked.
